Terms and Conditions
Effective October 9, 2026
Buyers on silkseam.com must be 18 or older, and CHARITIE WILLIS FUNY LLC sells every order.
Behind the SilkSeam name
SilkSeam is the trading name of CHARITIE WILLIS FUNY LLC, EIN 99-4781635. Its mailing address is 1324 E Elm St, New Albany, IN 47150, United States. The company is the seller on every order. In these terms, “SilkSeam” means that company, and “the customer” means anyone who uses the site or buys from it.
From order to contract
A placed order is the customer’s offer to buy. The confirmation email says the offer arrived. The contract forms when SilkSeam passes the order to the fulfillment partner in China. Until then, SilkSeam can decline an order, for example when the address is outside the delivery area or a fraud check fails. Any payment for a declined order is refunded in full.
At checkout: payment in full
The full amount due is charged to the card or PayPal account the moment checkout is completed. The Payment Policy lists the accepted methods.
For adult buyers
Buyers must be 18 or older, or past the age of majority in their state if it’s higher. Dresses are sold for personal use, not resale.
On the listings
Each listing describes a dress from the partner’s product data: style, color, fabric where stated, sizes, the Stretch line, and a garment chart. The Disclaimer covers screen color and the measurement allowance. A listing that turns out wrong is handled under the Refund and Returns Policy, at SilkSeam’s cost.
Against pricing and stock errors
Prices are set in US dollars. They can change at any time. The customer pays the price shown at checkout, and a later change never touches a paid order. A plainly wrong price can be canceled before shipping, with the corrected price or a full refund offered. A size that sells out after payment follows the choices in the Shipping Policy.
Within 8 hours: cancellation
An order can be canceled within 8 hours of placing it, by email or phone. The full amount comes back within 2 business days. After that, the dress can be returned once it arrives.
Inside the shipping and returns pages
Delivery and return rules sit in their own pages, which bind the same way: the Shipping Policy and the Refund and Returns Policy. Where either one is more specific about delivery or returns, it applies.
On site use
The site is for browsing and buying for personal use. Scraping the catalog with bots, testing card numbers, ordering in someone’s name without consent, and probing the admin area aren’t allowed. SilkSeam can cancel orders and block access tied to that activity, refunding any payment.
Over the site’s words and photos
The text, layout, the SilkSeam name, and policy pages belong to CHARITIE WILLIS FUNY LLC. Product photos belong to SilkSeam or to the partners who supplied them. Copying them for another store, an ad, or a marketplace listing needs written permission. Sharing a link is fine.
For reviews
Product reviews aren’t open right now. If they open, only buyers of a dress can review it. SilkSeam won’t pay for ratings or hide a review for being negative, under the FTC rule on consumer reviews.
Through storms, strikes, and outages
Weather, carrier shutdowns, customs holds, outages, strikes, and government orders can delay an order. Such a delay isn’t a breach. SilkSeam still writes with a new date, and the customer may cancel and get the money back.
Without extra warranties
The listing is the promise, and the Refund and Returns Policy covers anything that falls short. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, SilkSeam gives no other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Up to the order’s value
SilkSeam’s liability on an order is capped at what the customer paid for it. Indirect and consequential losses are excluded. Liability the law won’t let anyone limit, such as for fraud, stays as the law sets it.
For misuse of the site
A customer who breaks these terms, for example with a stolen card or copied content, covers the resulting costs and claims. That includes reasonable legal fees.
By email first: disputes
A dispute starts with an email to contact@silkseam.com giving the confirmation number and the problem. The two sides then try for 30 days to settle it by email. These terms contain no arbitration clause. Small claims court stays open to either side.
In Floyd County courts
Indiana law governs these terms. Lawsuits go to state court in Floyd County, Indiana, or to the federal court covering that county. A consumer keeps any right the law gives to sue in their home state.
To outside services
Stripe, PayPal, and the carriers run their own services under their own terms. SilkSeam isn’t responsible for their pages or their availability.
In case one clause fails
If a court strikes down one part of these terms, only that part changes, as little as needed. The rest stays in force.
Across the whole agreement
These terms, the policies linked in the footer, and the order confirmation form the whole agreement for an order.
On new versions
SilkSeam can change these terms. Each change covers orders placed from its effective date onward. Earlier orders keep the terms they were placed under.
To support about these terms
Next: what personal data an order uses is set out in the Privacy Policy. Support: contact@silkseam.com or +1 (812) 234-9087, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time, with replies within 1 business day. Letters go to CHARITIE WILLIS FUNY LLC, 1324 E Elm St, New Albany, IN 47150.
