Size Guide

SilkSeam dresses come in XS to 4XL, and most designs run S to XL.
Across three styles
Wrap, sweater, and bodycon dresses fit in different ways. A wrap dress crosses or ties at the waist. Sweater dresses are knits, from fitted ribbed styles to loose cable knits. Bodycon dresses hug the body and depend on stretch.
From a dress you own
- Pick a dress that already fits well.
- Lay it flat and smooth out the fabric.
- Measure the bust straight across, armpit seam to armpit seam, and double the number.
- Measure the waist the same way, if the dress has one.
- For length, run the tape from the top of the shoulder seam down to the hem.
- Compare those numbers with the chart on the listing.
On the listing chart
Each chart measures the dress itself, not a body. The columns depend on the design.
Bust: on 43 designs.
Waist: on 26.
Sleeve: on 26.
Shoulder: on 12.
Hip: on 7.
Length: on all 45.
Allow 0.5-1 inch (1-2.5 cm) either way.

These are medians of the listing charts on October 9, 2026. Bodycon charts measure smaller because the knit stretches to fit. The chart on each listing is the one that counts.
With the Stretch line
None: the fabric doesn’t give, on 5 designs.
Slight: a little give, on 23.
Medium: clear give, on 13.
High: a lot of give, on 4.
With None or Slight, choose a chart close to the dress you measured. With Medium or High, a chart a little smaller can still fit.
Between neighboring sizes
Take the larger size when the Stretch line says None or Slight. For a closer fit in a Medium or High stretch dress, the smaller size works. Or email support with the design’s code and your measurement.
For length: mini to maxi
Each listing gives its length in inches. Typical lengths in size M are 37.8 in for wrap, 34.6 in for sweater, and 46.9 in for bodycon dresses. The catalog has 12 maxi, 11 above the knee, 8 mini, 5 midi, 4 knee length, 4 below the knee, and 1 long design.
Outside S to XL
XS comes on 2 designs. 2XL comes on 14, 3XL on 4, and 4XL on 1: the Plus Size Faux Wrap Sheath Dress in Wine Red (SLS-WD-004), sold in L to 4XL. Each listing shows its own sizes.
On a wrong size
A size that doesn’t fit is a change-of-mind return. Return postage is the customer’s cost; restocking is $0.
