Under California law

California’s privacy statute (the CCPA, amended by the CPRA) gives residents a right to stop a business from selling or sharing their personal information. SilkSeam extends that right to every US state.

Behind the words sale and sharing

Sale: personal data handed to another company in exchange for money or anything else of value.

Sharing: personal data handed over so ads can follow a person across sites and apps (cross-context behavioral advertising).

SilkSeam does neither. The site runs no advertising pixels. Its one analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, counts page views without cookies and isn’t used for ads.

By email or by browser signal

Write to contact@silkseam.com with the words Opt-out request in the subject. Add the email address or phone number from past orders; that’s how the request finds the right records. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts too.

Within 15 business days

Each opt-out is recorded within 15 business days. No ID document is needed. A reply confirms when it’s done.

Through Global Privacy Control

SilkSeam treats a GPC signal as an opt-out for that browser. Nothing on the site sells or shares data, so the signal has nothing to block today.

Without any price change

Opting out changes nothing about prices, delivery, or support.

Beyond the opt-out

An opt-out doesn’t cancel orders or delete records. Order records stay for tax purposes. Deletion is a separate request, set out in the Privacy Policy.

For agents and minors

Someone acting for the customer, an authorized agent, needs the customer’s written permission to file the opt-out. SilkSeam doesn’t knowingly keep data on people under 16. If some turned up, it wouldn’t be sold or shared.
